Pricing
Each order is custom designed, therefore pricing is not set until final design is agreed upon.
Cakes start at $6 per serving for buttercream, fondant cakes start at $8 per serving with a minimum order of $200.
Wedding Cakes
Wedding Cakes start at $700.
This price includes an initial 1-hour consultation with a tasting of 4 flavors for up to 4 people, design consultation and delivery up to 20 miles from my studio location. Overall detail, servings needed, and delivery miles will determine the final cost. A signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer will be required.
Edible Flower Arrangements
Each design is custom-made to match and your fresh flowers, overall theme and design of your wedding. The bonus of having your cake flowers handmade and edible is knowing that they belong on your edible cake! I try for realism when it fits the theme, and have fun with “fantasy flowers” as well to bring whimsy and creativity to your cake! Edible flower arrangements can be removed from your cake and saved for years to come, unlike fresh flowers.
Each floral arrangement starts at $100 for one large “statement” flower, 2 medium flowers, greenery, and floral fillers (buds, small flowers, or berries) to complete the look and give movement and realism to the overall design! They will be inserted in your cake completely food-safe.
Birthday and Special Occasion Cakes
A minimum order of $200 is required for birthday or special occasion cakes. Overall detail, servings needed, and delivery miles will determine the final cost.
3D and Carved Cakes
3D and carved or "gravity defying" cakes that need structure support start at a minimum of $500 and will serve 30 guests. If more than 30 servings are needed, I can scale the cake to fit that requirement!
This price includes delivery up to 20 miles from my studio location on date of your event. Overall detail, servings needed, and delivery miles will determine the final cost. A signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer will be required.
Cupcakes
Cupcakes start at $36/dozen (12) for standard size with frosting. Minimum order of two dozen (24) is required. Additional decoration or custom toppers can be added to cupcakes for $4/cupcake!
Pickup and Delivery
Pick up for your order will be scheduled at your convenience when the order is placed.
Delivery is available for all single-tiered or non-structured carved cakes at a fee of $15 for the first 20 miles from our studio location.
Please keep cakes in a cool place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Use a clean, sharp knife to cut, cleaning after each slice. Always cover and refrigerate any leftovers to be enjoyed within one week of your event.
**When transporting your cake, please leave plenty of flat trunk space (no seats or laps). And always drive carefully, with or without your order on board!**
Terms and Conditions
Your initial deposit reserves your event date and is non-refundable.
Deposit is 50% of the final total (including food order, delivery and set up charges, and equipment rental)
The final total may be sent in payments or one lump sum, and is due 2 weeks before your event date.
The date of your final payment is the last date for any changes of size, style or flavors of your order. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to additional charges, due immediately..
Delivery and setup of your order is included in the final agreed-upon price. A delivery charge will be decided at the time of your order and deposit.
We are not responsible for any damage incurred to your order after setup has been completed or picked up and approved. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 68-75 degrees F and out of direct sunlight.
If flowers are provided by an outside source, you acknowledge that fresh or silk flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, chemicals, insects, dirt, or other contaminants.
If you or your representative elect to pick and set up your cake order, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Whitney Dawn Cake Design’s possession.
On occasion we will photograph our cakes, and we reserve the right to use any of our personal photos for display or social media promotion without compensation to you.
Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Whitney Dawn Cake Design to complete the agreement and is subject to inclement weather, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. A delay in transit shall not constitute grounds for a discount or refund.
Outdoor/Barn/Tent Venue Disclaimer: client understands that WD Cake Design is not responsible for the condition of your order following an outdoor or barn/tent venue set up. Due to the effects of outdoor or weather conditions: table on un-level ground, wind blowing undesirable atmospheric items (e.g., dirt, leaves, branches, bugs) sunlight/heat, snow, rain or other wildlife, it is understood the products such as buttercream, fillings, sugar decorations, etc, may not hold up and cannot be insured past satisfactory delivery. Insistence of this set up is at the client’s risk and not held as my own.
The inspiration and ideas drawn up by Whitney Dawn Cake Design are representations. The final product may vary slightly based on creative interpretation or skill, while maintaining the integrity of the overall look and design as agreed upon. All sketches and ideas are owned by Whitney Dawn Cake Design and are not to be duplicated.
The client is responsible for making sure all non-edible cake decor, including sugar flowers, are removed from the cake before it is cut and served. Sugar flowers are made from edible materials, but are not intended for consumption. Do not eat decor
Our products may contain or come in contact with products made with milk, wheat, nuts, eggs, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for any incurred reactions.
